Love Your Heart on Valentine’s ...

At last February, the love month, is here. Most people commonly spend Valentine’s Day with that special someone in their lives. For this year, why not make February 14 even more special by devoting much needed attention on that organ which you associate with love, namely your heart?!

Indeed, make Valentine’s Day a “Healthy Heart Day” by following these healthful tips…

1) Start this Valentine’s Day to eat a nutritiously balanced diet. Of course, you don’t need to give up those juicy meats and those tasty sweets. Eat small, but healthy portions from each food group. Always choose low fat and low cholesterol foods.

2) Eat more of vegetables and fruits, especially those that are high in antioxidants.

3) Eat less of red or canned or processed foods, such as hams and hotdogs. Red may be the color of Valentine’s Day, but red meats are certainly not healthy for your heart and your body.

4) Eat more fish, especially those rich in omega-3 fatty acids like tuna. Also, eat more of products from the sea. Those tasty oysters are actually great aphrodisiacs in boosting one’s libido.

5) Eat more high fiber foods, such as wheat, oatmeal, corn, and whole grain foods.

6) Quit smoking and drinking alcohol now. Not only will your wife and girlfriend love you even more for it, your heart will be much healthier.

7) Start exercising daily. Did you know that exercise can be a romantic endeavor especially if you do it with that special someone?

8) Learn how to cope with stress. One need not be burdened by problems 24/7. Allot time for yourself when you can just sit down and relax.

How to Find the Best Christmas Gift ...

During the holiday season, it is the fondest wish of every giftgiver that their present be appreciated by the recipient. It is a known fact though that most of the time, people receive gifts that they don’t want and end up giving them to someone else. In some cases, the giftgiver discovers the present he or she spent hours to find being used by an acquaintance.

What can you do to ensure that you give the best Christmas gift ever? Just follow these tips…

1. Get to know the likes and dislikes of friends and loved ones months in advance. A good gauge is to see his or her reactions to gifts given to them on their birthday.

2. Know their personality. Friends who are stylish and outgoing would surely love the latest in cosmetics, perfumes, and fashion accessories. Practical types would prefer gifts that they can use like a fashionable bag to keep their things in.

3. Try to discover if there is a particular item that they are longing to have. For example, a friend who loves a painting that he or she could not afford will be sure to appreciate an art print of the original. A loved one who hasn’t been to his/her favorite dining spot in years would enjoy being treated to a special meal at that restaurant.

4. For very picky friends, the best Christmas gift would be a gift certificate to his/her favorite mall, shop, bookstore, or restaurant. A gift certificate will allow your friends and loved ones to buy the items that they would really love to have.

I visited my friend Apple last Saturday and gave my belated wedding gift. She told me that they will go to JRG Hidden Resort on the following day and asked me if I wanted to come and I said YES.

SWIMMING TIME!

I didn’t expected that She and Donna will come too that day so I was surprised when I saw them there. But suddenly I felt a bit sadness and incompleteness. I miss all my girlfriends JUMANJI :(

May 10, 2010 was not just a simple National Election Day but also the First Ever Automated Election Day that had happened here in the Philippines. It was the first time that I had exercised my rights to vote so I was so very excited. Here’s what happened to me that day….

It was around 8:30 A.M. when I arrived at the precinct station I was assigned to vote and more than 100 voters were ahead of me. I saw my Nanay with some friends and a group of people falling in line. They told me that the PCOS machine broke down so the casting of votes were interrupted. My Nanay also said that I need to get into the line and get a number so that if the machine will work again they will call the number by tens to enter the precinct and vote. Luckily, I saw my Ninang on the line and walked behind her (singit) some people got mad at me but I just ignored them (sorry!). I got number 68 :) Done distributing with the numbers but still the machine was not yet fixed so they replaced it a new one and unfortunately the back up that they have still doesn’t want to work (Badtrip!) We waited outside, it was hot and everyone was tired and hungry. After 4 hours of waiting they started to call all the senior citizens, disabled and pregnant women to line up and resume the voting. They have instructed everyone to drop our ballot on the ballot box, no more using of machine. It was around 12:30 pm when I entered the precinct and cast my votes for around 20 minutes. I took so long because I do not have a list unlike others (nabayaran kasi). After shading I stood up and dropped my ballot in the ballot box and walked outside. I didn’t have the chance to use the machine, so for a first timer like me… it was a bad experienced :(

Happy 21st Birthday to me… ...

“This is the day that the lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad today.”

I anticipated this day for so long with no good reason, idk! I just love this day and I am strangely happy and content though there will be no party or family gathering to commemorate this event. Oh Yes! Today is my birthday and I am officially 21 :) I thank God for blessing me another year of life and another opportunity to make life even better than the year before. Thanks to everyone who sent me countless greetings and best wishes, thank you so much! Love you all…

Yesterday, my hubby and I went to SM Tarlac. We decided to have a date as an advance celebration of my 21st birthday. It was our first time there so we roamed around for about one hour. After window shopping we watched Iron Man 2 at cinema one. It was a great movie. Then after watching it was around 7 PM so we went at Mang Inasal and ate our dinner there. We arrived at home at exactly 8:30 PM.

Panagbenga 2010 ...

My hubby and I went to Baguio City last February 27 and 28. We watched the celebration of the Baguio Flower Festival which is also known as the PANAGBENGA FESTIVAL.

February 27, 2010
Grand Panagbenga Street Parade

Unfortunately, I was on the left side of the street when the parade started so I didn’t enjoy that day. I also didn’t have much pictures of that event because the performers were on the right side. Instead of watching I just roamed around there and shopped some dresses. After the parade we went to the Athletic Bowl and watched the dance contest.

February 28, 2010
Grand Float Parade

I enjoyed seeing different floats that time. It was an awesome experienced.
