Filipinos have seen her on print ads and in commercials for Pop Cola and Coffee Mate. But it’s only after becoming a contestant on “Survivor: Philippines” that Solenn Heussaff became known to the public.

Born on July 20, 1985, sultry Solenn Marie Adea Heussaff is the second child of ex-French Marine and current oil company head Louis-Paul Heussaff and his Filipino wife Cynthia Adea. Her older sister is Vanessa and her younger brother is Erwan.

As a commercial and print model, Solenn (her name is derived from Selena, who is the goddess of the moon) has graced numerous ads as well as covers for prestigious fashion magazines like Maxim and Rogue. Also a talented fashion designer (for Tan Gan Limited Edition), professional make-up artist, and painter, it was she who did the body painting on fellow model Joey Mead in Rogue’s controversial magazine cover.

A contracted actress for GMA Network, GMA Artist Center and Regal Entertainment as well as a recording star for MCA Universal Philippines, Solenn has been linked romantically to Derek Ramsey and Richard Gutierrez.

With many projects coming her way, Solenn Heussaff’s star is sure to shine in 2011 and beyond.

Hip Hop recording artist Nicki Minaj has recently been getting a lot of airplay on the radio via her debut single “Your Love”. But most people don’t know that this talented young lady from Trinidad has been a popular fixture in the underground hip hop music scene since 2008.

Nicki’s rise to stardom began when she recorded and distributed by herself mixtape tracks, which caught the attention of prominent personalities in the underground music scene. For her efforts, not only was she featured in XXL Magazine, she won Female Artist of the Year at the 2008 Underground Music Awards. Unlike other female artists who grab attention with their sexy looks, Nicki maintains a more wholesome casual and laidback style, which has led parents to laud her for being a good model for young girls.
