How to Put on Makeup like a Pro ...

Do you wish you put on make up like a pro but without going to a cosmetology school? Do you constantly wonder How Movie Make-up Artists Work? Putting on makeup need not be a daunting process with lots of available resources online. One of the most useful advice I received was putting on moisturizer before putting any makeup on your face. This will make your makeup stick and without this you might as well go bare faced.

Concealer is your best friend unless your face is already flawless and blemish free. Put this next before applying any foundation. Remember to choose one that is one shade lighter of your skin.

Foundation is next. Put this while your skin is still damp. Choose a foundation that suits your skin type.

Many might be daunted at the thought of putting on eye makeup but this is quite easy. Choosing colors has  become easier, thanks to the tri color eye makeup readily available. To make your eye make up last longer apply an eye primer first. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube to help you master the art of putting on eye makeup. If you are already in the business, try beauty professionals organization for the latest trends in beauty and makeup.

For your blush just remember to apply it on your cheekbones but stop short of putting it on your nose. We want to highlight our cheekbones and not our nose, right?

Of course, do not forget your lips. Always put on a lip liner first before applying your lipstick for a more defined lips.

Lastly, your face is your canvass. Take good care of your skin by practicing good hygiene, eating well balanced diet, and avoiding damaging exposure from the sun and chances are you will look way better without makeup.

Summer fashions for the suitcase ...

It’s approaching the beginning of July and we can safely say that the summer has arrived. The sun is even beginning to cotton on to the fact that the time is ripe to come out and shine over the patiently waiting UK. And with the enormous posters of bikini-clad women appearing on billboards and the sides of buses, we’re only thinking about one thing: what clothes to buy.

Whether you want to be ‘summer-sheek’ for a date with someone you met on eHarmony UK or you need to look great on your two-week jaunt to Mallorca, here are some of the hottest summer fashions to help you update your wardrobes and suitcases…

Tops

The high street seems to be favouring one of two styles of top this summer. The first sees necklines low and often off the shoulder, the material a soft and floaty cotton. Baggily cut with three-quarter-length sleeves and often of a floral pattern, these tops give you a casual beach look, and the extra breeze they provide is sure to keep you cool. The other trend is for sleeveless tops with bright-coloured designs, high necklines and a much tighter fitting.

Bottoms

High-waisted skirts are once again very in this season, the 50s style still extremely popular both on the high street and in the general world of fashion. High-waisted shorts are still also up there on the agenda, but with a move towards short, though quite baggy shorts for the beach, perfectly matching the popular floaty summer tops. Tight cropped trousers are currently the third top look in the bottoms department, for the more overcast days.

Dresses

Although maxi-dresses are still very much the now in the all-in-one department, jumpsuits and playsuits are slowly muscling their way in and causing quite a fuss. Who wants a dress when you can buy something slightly more comfortable, practical and stylish? Loose-fitting playsuits are simply perfect for the beach – and they make you feel like a toddler again!

Shoes

The gladiator sandals are once again appearing on our shelves, those elegant, blister-free solutions to the summer shoe. But in keeping with the 50s craze, light-coloured brogues – in creams and browns – are also sneaking on to the fashionable summer foot. These look fantastic no matter the weather, preferably next to beautifully tanned legs!

Accessories

Scanning this year’s sunnies shelves, fully rounded John Lennon glasses seem to be all the vogue. Aviators and Ray Bans are also still making their presence known, and you’ll be the height of fashion with any of these perched on your nose. Flowers in the hair are also still a major trend, lending a touch of summer to any outfit.

Mix and match with any of these top fashions and you’re sure to get the best look for your holiday, work day or Muslim online dating suitor!

How to Create a Day-to-Night Look ...

The secret to fitting both work and fun into your day is to get creative about fashion. Use a little forethought, the extra room in your purse and the right clothes to take your look from day to night without that extra stop at home.
The best way to create a day-to-night look is by wearing a basic outfit and then changing accessories. A black tank dress can be perfect for work with a matching short jacket, small earrings and pumps.
The same black tank dress can turn into a fantastic night look by removing the short jacket, adding large earrings, a matching necklace and some high-heeled shoes. All that’s left is to freshen up your makeup and you’re good to go.
Any basic garment should be something that can be layered over. Ideally, it should be a single color with only subtle patterns. Tropical prints don’t do well for work or play unless you live in the tropics. Short dresses and skirts are usually inappropriate for work, but there are ways to get around that. If a dress is one of the popular oversized shirt styles, or the skirt is simple, it’s easy to pair with leggings or tailored slacks. The result is a demure look for work, and after work all you have to do is slip off those leggings to be ready to party.
Slacks can generally be a little more difficult to work with. To go from dull to jazzed up, pair slacks with the right belt and shoes. A fun belt helps soften the all-business slacks and makes the overall outfit seem relaxed.

A Splash of Color in the Hospital wi ...

We just got home from the hospital because my sister-in-law just had surgery. Most of her ovary was removed because it was riddled with ovarian cysts.  She said the doctors and the nurses took care of her real well.

Although she’s fine now, she said staying at the hospital has bored her to death. Her room has no TV and she greatly missed her favorite shows. It seems all she does all day is stare at the white walls.  She said she wished to see some color in her room. Even the doctor’s and nurse’s uniform were white.

I thought it would better if they wear colorful scrub clothing instead. It would be a good conversation starter which can put the patients at ease with them faster. For their scrub needs I suggest they check out this link: http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/.

What to Wear at Weddings ...

You’ve been invited for a wedding and you’re not sure of what to wear. Help is at hand – here are some basic tips on how to look your best at the event. Remember, there’s nothing to be nervous about because everyone will have their attention focused on the bride and the groom. Though that does not mean you should not be well turned out!

Dress according to when the wedding is going to be held. For a morning wedding, wear lighter colors. Your clothes should be slightly less formal than what you wear to a wedding in the evening. Men could opt for a sports coat or a suit while women could wear a colorful dress, skirt or suit. Floral patterns also work well. For an afternoon wedding, the attire would be much the same.

If the wedding is in the evening and a dress code is not specified, men should wear dark suits and women should wear dresses, skirts or suits. Since the event is in the evening, select elegant, rich fabrics. Women can wear more ornamental jewelry than they would wear to an afternoon or morning wedding. They could team their dress with a nice evening bag.

If the invitation indicates cocktaildress, wear what you would wear to an upscale party. Men should dress appropriately – tuxedos are a no-no though. Women could wear chic dresses. Floral or overly colorful patterns are not a good idea.

When your invitation says, ‘Black tie optional’ it means men are expected to wear either a tuxedo or a dark suit. Wearing a tuxedo is optional so a navy, black or charcoal gray suit would work just as well. Women could opt for a full length dress or a shorter cocktail dress.

Teen Fashion ...

Teen fashion is a completely new segment that has created a rage in the fashion industry. The 21st century teens have adopted extremely amazing fashion trends that are often seen on ramps and cream fashion areas. Teenagers have now become smarter with a stronger sense of fashion and personality. They prefer wearing something that makes them stand out in the crowd. The choice of clothing has become funky and trendy with lively outfits and fashion accessories.

In the world of teen dresses there are ample of choices and options for the teenagers. Wherever you wish to go whatever you wish to do, clothing is something that has to be comfortable in all ways. Some of the basic trends in teen clothing are vintage blue jeans with a trendy top in shades of blue, yellow and white. Teens today don’t look for brand new feel of jeans, they go for faded or stonewashed jeans. Some teens prefer wearing jeans with strands of threads pulled out here and there. Jeans and denim are available in variety of styles and cut like the boot cut, straight fit, skinny fitting, stretch material, baggy, and capri. Other trendy color options in jeans are black, streaked, and bleached.
Jumpers and sweaters are also in for both girls and boys during the winters. On a chilly winter morning these are the best options over denim or vintage jeans. These are available in cowl neck, V-neck, and flexible neck line. Some of the trendy colors options are sober beige, blue, black, and delicious red.
